Colorado Landlord Legislative Coalition is strategizing to improve SB21-173

Posted By: Troy Miller ICOR Blog & News,

The Colorado Landlord Legislative Coalition has asked our members to share their voices with CO Senators and educate them on what this bill will do to independent housing providers. SB21-173 is headed to the Senate and will limit late fees, prohibit lease break fees, risk additional litigation on housing providers, and more. The CLLC is strategizing to educate Senators about how SB21-173 will affect Landlords and Property Managers.

The Coalition is looking for Members that may have a personal relationship with any of the following Legislators for some targeted outreach:
  •       Senator Pete Lee – District 11 -Colorado Springs
  •      Senator Joann Ginal  - District 14 -Fort Collins
  •      Senator Rachel Zenzinger – District 19 -Arvada
  •      Senator Jeff Bridges – District 26 -Littleton/Englewood

If you can assist the CLLC with this outreach, please email Annemarie at asunde@legacypmco.com

Even if you don’t know any of the above Senators, you can still help the CLLC with our targeted outreach if you are a Landlord or Property Manager in one of the above Districts and would like to participate in a meeting with a Legislator, testify, or submit a position statement. Please reach out to Danielle at danielle@all-seasons.com to find out how you can get involved.

As always, we appreciate our members' time and support in generating emails and signing up to voice your opposition to the committee.
